About Me
CPYRGHT is a 22-year-old artist, producer and DJ from Sevenoaks, Kent, creating electronic pop rooted in
the euphoric spirit of dance music's golden era.

Born in London to South African parents, his childhood was split between London, Hong Kong and Kent
before moving to Los Angeles at 18 to study music production. Music has been a constant throughout. After
discovering Martin Garrix as a kid during the EDM explosion of the early 2010s, he picked up DJing before
teaching himself to produce, inspired by the realisation that the artists he admired were creating the records
themselves.

While much of contemporary dance music has become increasingly divided between underground credibility
and mainstream appeal, CPYRGHT exists comfortably between the two. Drawing influence from artists such
as Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris and Martin Garrix, his music combines pop songwriting with
electronic production, aiming to capture the feeling that first made him fall in love with dance music.

At its core, the CPYRGHT project is built around escapism. His songs and performances are designed to
offer a temporary release from everyday life, a space where people can let go, feel connected and
experience the same sense of freedom and euphoria that defined a generation of dance records.

Now based back in Kent, CPYRGHT is part of a new wave of artists challenging the idea that electronic
music must choose between cultural relevance and mass appeal. By taking inspiration from music, fashion
and contemporary art in equal measure, he is building a project that feels equally at home in the club, on
stage, and in the wider cultural conversation.
